Superquick cocnut ladoos.. yes indeed they can be made fast.Normally we don't do anything special on Ganesh Chathurthy. When we were in Delhi, our Marathi neighbours would invite us and we would participate in their pooja, eat merrily and come back. But this year, i decided to make something at home to offer Lord Ganesha, the remover of all obstacles.
Now i had to choose something which i could make very very fast.I would have loved to make modak, puran poli or the coconut ladoo itself in an elaborate way but not this year.My little Shanaya takes very short naps and so whatever i had to make had to be done during that time. Hence i decided on these super easy , super quick coconut ladoos with very less ingredients which can be put together in a matter of minutes.
Ingredients i used:
3/4th tin sweetened condensed milk
1 and 1/2 cups dessicated coconut, plus a little extra for coating the laddoos.
2 tablespoon milk
1/4 tspn green cardamom powder
How i made
Combine the condensed milk and dessicated coconut in a saucepan on low flame.Mix well .
Add the milk if you feel its dry, otherwise you can skip it.
Keep mixing so that the coconut does not stick to the pan.Take off the stove and let it cool.
Add in the cardamom powder and mix well.Cardamom powder is added in this stage so that the flavour does not evaporate.Roll into ladoos and coat in dessicated coconut powder.
Your ladoos are ready..taddaaaaa.... !!!
