Cinnamon teacake

Never expected to be back on the blog this fast...i am honestly out of touch with blogging.. but as i had mentioned in the earlier post, my hands were itching to bake.I baked brownies before this but could not find time to take good pictures or rather the brownies disappeared before i could take pics!!
Cinnamon being one of my favourite spices i decided to bake  an easy and simple cinnamon tea cake... i started hunting for fast and easy recipes... yes, it had to be fast and easy cos my baby is hardly 3 months old.And being alone at home does not make it easier!!So i hunt a few websites and come across this cinnamon tea cake recipe, tweak it a little and i have this!!

Ingredients i used:(adapted from allrecies.com)

Whole wheat flour(all purpose)- 1 cup
Baking powder-1/4th teaspoon
sodium bicarbonate-1/4th tspn
salt-1/4 tspn
Unsalted butter -8 tbspns
Sugar-1/2cup
Ground cinnamon-1 tbspn
Milk-1/3 cup plus 2 tbspns

for dusting:
I mixed a little icing sugar with cinnamon powder and dusted .

Method:

-Preheat oven to 180 C.Line a loaf pan with greased aluminium foil or grease the pan directly.
-Sieve the baking powder, soda bicarbonate, salt and flour together.
-Melt the butter.Mix together the butter ,sugar, and flour.Add in the milk. You will get  a thick batter.
Pour this batter into greased pan and bake for about 30 minutes or till skewer comes out clean.
Once the cake is cooled you may dust the cinnamon sugar on it.(totally optional)

I made this with wheat flour and hence have been munching on it with my morning tea.N feels that the wheat taste is not good and he wants me to try this with all purpose flour (maida) though its the unheathier choice!!!
So will do that and update!!

Note:If using self rising flour you can skip the bicarbonate of soda and salt.
