Mango Frappe

Mango Frappe

Mango Frappe..yes that's my recipe for today.. am a little late in posting a mango recipe .The mango season is almost over but we are still getting mangoes. We ended up with some not soo sweet variety and that's when i decided to use it for  a frappe..
Now what is a frappe?A frappe is a frozen fruit flavoured dessert made with shaved ice .Also in New England even a milkshake is called Frappe.
Mine is between both..It is a milkshake but i dint use shaved ice. I just kept teh mangoes in the freezer for about 40 minutes.

Going straight to the recipe

Ingredients:

1and a 1/2 cup Mango, cut
1 tbsp Lemon juice
1/4 tsp Vanilla extract
1 cup Milk
2 tblsp Sugar
4 to 6 Ice cubes

Mango Frappe

How i made it?

Place cut mango in freezer for about 40 minutes.
Blend mango, milk, sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla  until smooth.
Add ice cubes and blend again.
Serve immediately.

Mango Frappe

Now the tinge of lemon along with mango is refreshing and new.I also loved the slight hint of vanilla in it.
Since we are in the midst of peak summer i am still trying more shakes and smoothies.. Expect more!
